At the conclusion, the participant should be able to:

1) DISCUSS the role a physician should play in the diagnosis and follow up of children with autism; 2) SUMMARIZE the perspective of a pediatrician who has a child with autism; 3) DESCRIBE three expectations that a parent may have when seeking medical care for a child with autism.
