Frequently asked questions

If you attend a session in person at one of our partner facilities, please make sure to complete the information on the sign-in sheet at the event. Once you sign in at a session, the facilitator sends the information to MECOP and your credits get reported to our web system. To access your account and a transcript of your credits, you may login here. If you have attended a session and don’t know your MECOP login credentials, please call 850-477-4956, or email cheri@mecop.org.

Most grand rounds sessions listed on our Events tab are open to any licensees interested in attending and are free of charge (unless otherwise indicated). Advance sign up is not necessary, and you are able to sign in at the door. Many sessions are quality improvement-focused or closed to only faculty members of the partner facility. For more information on attending these sessions, please feel free to contact us at 850-477-4956, or email cheri@mecop.org. If there is a cost and advance registration associated with an event, that information, as well as links to the registration process are provided under the Events tab.

If you’ve attended a MECOP-accredited event at one of our partner facilities, your credits have been logged in our web-based system. To get your login credentials, please email cheri@mecop.org, or call 850-477-4956, and we will be happy to provide your username and password.

MECOP is a nationally accredited provider of AMA Category 1 Credit. If you’ve received credit for MECOP courses, you may access a transcript by logging in here and clicking ‘transcript.’ Once you access your transcript, you may save or print it to send or upload to any state licensing authority or board. We are not able to report credits on your behalf, but most licensing boards allow for transcript uploads without typing in single courses and hours.

We are happy to offer accreditation and joint providership services. If you are interested in getting a course accredited through MECOP, please contact Jenna Coleman, Director, at jenna@mecop.org or 850-477-4956.

Florida MDs are required to get 40 AMA Category 1 Credits before renewing their license every two years. For a full list of requirements, please click here
