SHH Pediatric Grand Rounds

FSU Resident Adriana Fernandez, MD Presenting Objectives: At the conclusion, the participant should be able to:

1) DESCRIBE newborn thermogenesis; 2) REVIEW heat loss in the newborn; 3) PREVENT newborn hypothermia; 4) REVIEW signs and symptoms of hypothermia; 5) PROVIDE an overview of appropriate treatment for hypothermia. Questions and answers will allow for audience participation.
