Demonstrate a systematic approach to the assessment and
initial stabilization of a pediatric patient with respiratory compromise, including oxygen delivery and airway support.
Recognize early signs of four types of pediatric shock:
hypovolemic, distributive, cardiogenic, or obstructive.
Apply the Neonatal Resuscitation Program algorithm to manage a newly born infant requiring resuscitation using appropriate assessment and interventions according to
current NRP standards.
Initiate basic pediatric mechanical ventilation using a Hamilton ventilator, accurately selecting initial settings based on patient presentation.
Perform a pre-sedation assessment that includes patient screening, risk stratification, and safety planning.
