Bioidentical Hormones
At the conclusion, the participant should be able to:
1) DESCRIBE the 2 cell theory and the negative feedback loop in its basic form for production of female sex hormones; 2) DEFINE Bioidentical Hormone Therapy (BHT) and contrast with Hormone Replacement Therapy; 3) LIST the bioavailable hormones that affect generative tissues in the female; 4) LIST the tissues, disease process and physiologic effects which hormone replacement therapy targets. Questions and answers will allow for audience participation.
