Name several free online resources for patient education materials which might include MedlinePlus, Healthfinder.gov, FamilyDoctor.org, ACOG, AAP, ADA. List several considerations for using a handout with a certain patient which might include the language, reading level, demand management value, the design, use of images, and cultural considerations. Identify a method for determining the reading level of a handout. Teach medical students to education patients.
