Matching payments to patient needs: why old 'capitation' models fail and how we can do better
At the conclusion, the participant should be able to:
1) RECOGNIZE the difference between physicians-centric and patient-centric health care; 2) EVALUATE the importance of risk-adjustments and identifying appropriate payments for, and recognizing value in the care of populations; 3) RECOGNIZE the tools available for risk adjustment in a wide range of applications.
