Best Practices in Clinical Teaching
At the conclusion, the participant should be able to:
1) SHARE teaching strategies/routines they are currently using and share thoughts regarding the effectiveness of those strategies; 2) DISCUSS strategies for enhancing traditional teaching behaviors (use of learning objectives, orienting the student, providing specific feedback, 5-microskills); 3) DISCUSS ways traditional teaching strategies can be the foundation for implementing innovative teaching strategies that will facilitate the development of students' ability to assesses their performance, reflect on their needs, and decide what to do to optimize that performance.
