Speaker: James Burns, MD, MPH Objectives: At the conclusion, the participant should be able to:
1) DEFINE bullying; 2) DESCRIBE the various types of bullying; 3) DISCUSS the epidemiology of bullying; 4) IDENTIFY characteristics of those who are victims and perpetrators of bullying including risk factors; 5) EXAMINE the consequences of bullying on children and teens; 6) REVIEW the role of parents, schools, and health care providers in addressing this national problem. Questions and answers will allow for audience participation.
