Treating Pediatric Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) in Primary Care

At the conclusion, the participant should be able to:

1) NAME the diagnostic criteria for OCD; 2) IDENTIFY what obsessions vs compulsions are and their relationship to anxiety; 3) DESCRIBE the new DSM-V OCD spectrum diagnostic category; 4) IDENTIFY the different OCD symptom dimensions and subtypes; 5) NAME differences in presentation between adult OCD and pediatric OCD; 6) DESCRIBE the process of assessment and evaluation for these patients; 7) DESCRIBE psychosocial and pharmacologic treatment options for this population in primary care. Questions and answers will allow for audience participation.
