Pediatric Interdisciplinary Team Meeting/Autism Spectrum Disorders-What's New and How Can We Assist Families
At the conclusion, the participant should be able to:
1) DISCUSS patient care needs;
2) DEVELOP patient centered care initiatives to further enhance the safety and well being of our patients; 3) IDENTIFY community resources available to effectively and efficiently achieve the most desired patient outcomes; 4) COLLABORATE and COMBINE resources to provide care to children throughout the entire Northwest Florida & South Alabama Region;
5)NETWORK and COMMUNICATE needs and opportunities that exist throughout the region including assisting outlying providers in the care & appropriate transfer of pediatric patients; 6) DISCUSS the most recent findings of the CDC regarding prevalence, diagnosis, and treatment of individuals with ASD; 7) DESCRIBE the benefits of ABA in treating patients with ASD; 8) DISCUSS local practices, barriers, and resources related to diagnosis and treatment of individuals with ASD in light of current guidelines.
