Dr. Sacks attended medical school at the University of South Alabama College of Medicine and completed a pediatric residency at the University of Louisville in Kentucky. He then completed a pediatric GI fellowship at Vanderbilt University, and is now a pediatric gastroenterologist and professor of Pediatric Gastroenterology at the University of Florida, Ascension Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola. Dr. Sacks joined MECOP’s Board in 2013 and plays an integral role in improving our overall CME program and serves as a liason between MECOP and one of its key education partners, Ascension Sacred Heart.
