Speaker: John Bruyere, MD, PGY-2 Objectives: At the conclusion, the participant should be able to:
1) EXPLAIN the screening, diagnosis, and pathophysiology of childhood depression; 2) DESCRIBE the evidence-based management of pediatric depression in the primary care setting; 3) DESCRIBE the management of depression in unique populations: a. children who identify as LGBTQ, b. chronically ill children, c. screening for post-partum depression, d. racial and cultural disparities in pediatric depression; 4) ASSESS the availability of mental health services in Northwest Florida. Questions and answers will allow for audience participation.
