SHH Pediatric Grand Rounds

At the conclusion, the participant should be able to:

1) DEFINE the term toxic stress and DISCUSS how early attachment is a buffer for toxic stress; 2) DISCUSS how data from the Adverse Childhood Experiences studies underscores the need for assessing traumatic experiences in the pediatric office given the long-term health consequences of those experiences; 3) OUTLINE how the science related to toxic stress and ACE's might influence pediatric practice. Questions and answers will allow for audience participation.
