Zika Virus: The Latest Emerging Arbovirus in the Americas
Dr. Julienne Dreisbach presenting: "Zika Virus: The latest emerging arbovirus in the Americas"
At the conclusion, the participant should be able to:
1) DESCRIBE the epidemiology, clinical manifestations, management, and prevention of Zika virus disease; 2) DISCUSS diagnostic testing for Zika virus infection and interpretation of test results; 3) ARTICULATE the importance of early recognition and reporting of cases; 4) DISCUSS evaluation of infants with microcephaly and the relationship of Zika and microcephaly. Questions and answers will allow for audience participation.
