Upon completion of this educational activity, participants will be able to: Describe the facial tissue layers, lip anatomy, and vascular structures relevant to safe dermal filler injection. Explain the composition, properties, indications, and clinical applications of hyaluronic acid dermal fillers. Select appropriate products based on patient anatomy and treatment goals. Perform comprehensive patient assessment, lip mapping, and individualized treatment planning. Demonstrate proper handling, storage, preparation, and injection techniques using retrograde linear threading. Safely perform upper and lower lip augmentation while maintaining natural facial proportions and symmetry. Recognize early signs of vascular occlusion and implement appropriate emergency management, including the use of hyaluronidase. Counsel patients on post-treatment expectations, aftercare, and follow-up recommendations. Successfully demonstrate procedural competency through a faculty-observed hands-on skills assessment.
