State of the College 2011
At the conclusion, the participant should be able to:
1)DESCRIBE the LCME accreditation process and SUMMARIZE the LCME findings for the April, 2010, accreditation visit in terms of strengths and areas in need of enhancement; 2) DESCRIBE the current admissions activities in terms of number of applications, total acceptances, impact of programs such as Bridge, etc.; 3) DESCRIBE characteristics of the new class of 2015 in terms of male/female, ethnic diversity, university attended, etc.; 4) DESCRIBE how our students are performing on USMLE exams; 5) DESCRIBE the current GME activities of the college; 6) DESCRIBE current research initiatives with regard to the Clinical Research Network, external funding and Translational Science Lab; 7) DESCRIBE the current college and university budget situation and what implications can be inferred; 9) DESCRIBE current development initiatives. Questions and answers will allow for audience participation.
