Pediatric Education Director Meeting
At the conclusion, the participant should be able to:
1) DISCUSS the Pediatric Clerkship Inpatient and Outpatient Competencies as it relates to outcome-based educational program. (LCME standard 6); 2) DISCUSS comparability of education and assessment across campuses. (LCME Standard 8); 3) DISCUSS the students’ clerkship assessment feedback survey results for 2017-2018 and UTILIZE feedback for program review and revision. (LCME Standard 8); 4) BE FAMILIAR with the student’s self-report of work hours. (LCME Standard 8); 5) DISCUSS the integration of the PA students. (LCME Standard 6); 6) BE FAMILIAR with a template History and Physical Exam write-up for the student. (LCME Standard 7); DISCUSS the article “Acute Flaccid Myelitis-Keys to Diagnosis, Questions About Treatment, and Future Directions”, Hopkins, SE, Elrick, MJ, Messacar, K, JAMA Pediatrics, 2018 Nov 30. Questions and answers will allow for audience participation.
