FCOM 2025: Current State of Florida’s Otolaryngology Workforce

This session presents the current landscape of Florida’s otolaryngology workforce, highlighting key demographic and practice patterns across metropolitan and non-metropolitan counties. Using a cross-sectional database analysis, the study reveals significant disparities in access to care, particularly in rural regions. Attendees will gain insights into the distribution, training backgrounds, and practice settings of otolaryngologists across the state, with implications for workforce planning and patient access. By the end of this session, participants will be able to Identify key demographic and practice characteristics of otolaryngologists currently practicing in Florida. Recognize geographic disparities in otolaryngology workforce distribution and their impact on patient access to specialized care.
