Florida Combined Otolaryngology Meeting 2024 – Unlocking Opportunities: Integrating Clinical Trials into ENT Practice

This course will introduce clinical practitioners to the clinical trial arena. Discussions will be entertained regarding understanding trial design, ethical considerations, regulatory framework, data collection and management , trial monitoring and reporting, and current trends in clinical trials.The objective of this course is to encourage the otolaryngologist to introduce clinical trials into their private practice with a better knowledge basis and understanding of clinical trials. After completion, attendees will be able to: 1. Explain the fundamental components of clinical trial design, including phases, randomization, and control groups, to ensure participants understand how to effectively structure clinical research. 2. Evaluate the ethical and regulatory considerations involved in conducting clinical trials, including informed consent, patient safety, and compliance with relevant laws and guidelines. 3. Demonstrate best practices for data collection, management, trial monitoring, and reporting to enhance the quality and reliability of clinical trial results while staying informed about current trends in the field.
