Handling Challenging Teaching Situations
At the conclusion, the participant should be able to:
1) DESCRIBE how the clinical teacher's reaction to a student might actually make a challenging teaching situation worse; 2) LIST 3 broad categories in which the challenging student difficulties might fall; 3) LIST common pitfalls the teaching might into when teaching a learner in difficulty; 4) DESCRIBE a strategy for helping the learner in difficulty that parallels the patient care process; 5) DESCRIBE how knowledge of personality type can be useful in analyzing a challenging teaching situation.
