FM Ed Director Meeting
The participants should be able to:
1)DISCUSS the assessment of student’s clinical performance, including oral presentation, written notes, clinical reasoning and cultural competence; 2) DISCUSS issues regarding student’s demonstration of professional responsibility; 3) DISCUSS methods for point of care teaching, including strategies in busy clinical settings. Questions and answers will allow for audience participation. The revised syllabi for the Family Medicine Clerkship and the Advanced Family Medicine Syllabus will be provided and the participants will have an opportunity to ask questions and seek clarification. Projects will be discussed and opportunities for clinical faculty involvement will be explored. The participants will be introduced to the new evaluation format and will be asked for feedback and suggestions for improvement prior to implementation. The participants will discuss faculty resources needed for participation in Clerkship teaching role.
