Tinnitus affects more than 1 billion people on this planet. The primary association is sensorineural hearing loss from noise, aging medications and more. Tinnitus is a symptom and while there are no known cures there are many options to help our patients. This session will update the attendee on Tinnitus and its management.
Describe the underlying mechanisms and common causes of tinnitus associated with sensorineural hearing loss.
Discuss current evidence-based approaches and emerging therapies for the management of tinnitus.
Evaluate recent advances in gene therapy research and their potential implications for future tinnitus treatment.
