Florida Combined Otolaryngology Meeting 2024 – Atypical Facial Paralysis
Facial Paralysis
This case-based presentation will focus on atypical facial paralysis and weakness. A wide differential diagnosis exists for facial paralysis, which will be encountered by the practicing otolaryngologist. Not all paralysis is “Bell’s palsy.”
1. To better formulate a focused differential diagnosis for patients with facial paralysis.
2. Identify patients for whom to order imaging studies and to determine the appropriate imaging modality.
3. To determine surgical interventions for the diagnosis and rehabilitation of facial paralysis.
