2022 Spring Clerkship Directors Meeting

Define the program’s ongoing self-assessment process designed to document program effectiveness and foster program improvement, with a focus on effectiveness of the clinical curriculum. Describe how the program defines and maintains effective processes and documents the initial and ongoing evaluation of all sites and preceptors used for supervised clinical practice experiences, to ensure students are able to fulfill program learning outcomes with access to: a) physical facilities, b) patient populations, and c) supervision. Describe each of the 9 Major FSUCOM’s Educational Program Objectives Describe how the COM ensures that each required course and clerkship link the learning objectives of that course or clerkship to the medical education program objectives(LCME Element 8.2). Describe examples of how FSU COM demonstrates that graduating students have achieved the educational program objectives (LCME Element 6.1) Describe areas of strength for students entering the M3 year Discuss areas of deficiency in incoming M3 students as described by clerkship directors Provide Year 1/2 Course Directors with information to assist in course planning.
