Speakers: Thomas Williams, Therapeutic Foster Home Recruitment Specialist, FamiliesFirst Network/Kati Ross, Adoption Recruitment Specialist, FamiliesFirst Network/Cathy Cheung, RN, CCM Senior Registered Nurse Supervisor, CMAT and Medical Foster Care, Children's Medical Services
At the conclusion, the participant should be able to:
1) DISCUSS foster care and adoption services and OUTLINE the process for becoming a licensed foster home; 2) IDENTIFY the immediate need for additional foster and adoptive homes in Escambia, Santa Rosa, Okaloosa, and Walton counties; 3) DISCUSS medical foster care services and the changes associated with the transition into the statewide Medicaid Management Care Program. Questions and answers will allow for audience participation.
