SHH Pediatric Grand Rounds
Pediatric Feeding/Swallowing for the Medically Fragile Child (0-3)
At the conclusion, the participant should be able to:
1) IDENTIFY when a speech pathologist needs to be consulted; 2) DESCRIBE the differences between normal and abnormal swallowing; 3) DISCUSS how common medical diagnosis impact feeding and swallowing; 4) IDENTIFY the differences between a swallow evaluation, MBS, barium swallow and EGD; 5) IDENTIFY feeding therapy candidates with possible treatment options. Questions and answers will allow for audience participation.
