SHH Ob/Gyn Grand Rounds

At the conclusion, the participant should be able to:

1) DEFINE Obstetrical Hemorrhage; 2) DISCUSS evidence to support need for implementation of a system-wide approach to Obstetrical Hemorrhage with Ascension Health ministries; 3) REVIEW materials from leading Quality Initiatives - California Maternal Quality Care Collaboration (CMQCC) and Florida Perinatal Quality Collaborative (FPQC); 4) IMPROVE a. risk assessment and preparation, b. early recognition of obstetric hemorrhage-accurate estimation of blood loss, recognition of hypovolemia, c. treatment of hemorrhage and hypovolemia. Questions and answers will allow for audience participation.
