Medical Grand Rounds
CPOE
At the conclusion, the participant should be able to:
1) DESCRIBE an overview of the goals of CPOE as it relates to patient safety, system efficiency and therapeutic effectiveness; 2) DEMONSTRATE background decisional support and show how the introduction of evidence-based guidelines into CPOE creates new care standards; 3) ENGAGE the medical staff's participation in the CPOE build effort in order to insure that their workflow is disrupted minimally. Questions and answers will allow for audience participation.
