OB/GYN Clerkship Education Director's/Faculty Meeting
At the conclusion, the participant should be able to:
1) DISCUSS the importance of the midrotation evaluation, a. There is no requirement for a written document, b. There is a suggestion to review the student's documented progress of required competencies (E*Value numbers versus Syllabus requirements), c. There is a requirement for student self-reflection-i.e., how the student judges his/her progress versus the opinion of the Clerkship faculty; 2) DISCUSS the importance of written comments on the final Clerkship evaluation document; 3) DISCUSS the importance of timely completion of the final Clerkship evaluation documents; 4) DISCUSS how we can help with the new E*Value System; 5) DISCUSS what topics are typically covered in the end of rotation NBME examination. Questions and answers will allow for audience participation.
