Could Sugar and Uric acid have a Role in the Epidemic of Obesity and Diabetes?
At the conclusion, the participant should be able to:
1) DISCUSS how fructose is distinct from other sugars in its metabolism; 2) DISCUSS the experimental and clinical evidence for a role for fructose and uric acid in driving obesity, fatty liver and diabetes. Questions and answers will allow for audience participation.
