Dr. Horton: At the conclusion, the participation should be able to:

1) CLARIFY the importance of clone selection in the analysis of estrogen and progesterone receptors in breast cancer; 2) ILLUSTRATE various methods for HER-2 analysis (IHC, FISH, and CISH) highlighting the value of CISH as an important improvement in the permanent recording of HER-2 gene analysis; 3) EXPLAIN the value in select pathology settings of absolute HER-2 protein measurement, a formerly research technique now available to resolve HER-2 IHC/FISH discordant or equivocal laboratory analyses.
