There are multiple evidence-based\, insurance-covered modalities for testing for allergies. DESCRIPTION:Medical examiners and forensic pathology practitioners face increasing case complexity\, emerging injury mechanisms\, and high‑consequence environments (e.g.\, officer‑involved shootings\, aviation/motorsports incidents\, electrical fatalities\, decomposed/skeletonized remains). Variability in investigative approach\, documentation\, and interpretation can lead to inconsistent cause and manner determinations\, reduced defensibility of opinions\, and missed opportunities for prevention. Sources include FAME Board meetings and past surveys. \nMedical examiner offices must manage operational pressures including workforce shortages\, increasing caseloads\, budget constraints\, and regulatory/public health reporting requirements. New and experienced leaders may have gaps in administrative skills (budgeting\, recruitment/retention\, risk management\, program development) that can negatively impact office performance\, compliance\, and sustainability. Sources include FAME Board meetings and past surveys.  Practical content on management represents some of the highest rated content at the conference. Many of these issues are well known nationally and NAME (National Association of Medical Examiner) and NIJ have positions on the country wide shortage of medical examiners.  \nHigh‑quality medicolegal investigations depend on coordinated multidisciplinary response. Communication gaps and unclear workflows between ME offices and partners (law enforcement/FDLE\, DOH\, NTSB\, NASA-related entities\, tissue banks\, anthropologists\, and venue safety teams) can lead to evidence integrity issues\, incomplete data capture\, delayed reporting\, and reduced public trust. Souces include FAME Board meeting and past meeting surveys. \nImproved consistency and accuracy in injury interpretation and cause/manner determinations; more complete and defensible medicolegal documentation and reporting; enhanced ability to apply contemporary guidelines to complex cases and communicate findings effectively. \nImproved leadership decision‑making and operational efficiency; strengthened compliance and risk mitigation; enhanced ability to implement and sustain programs that improve investigative capacity and public health reporting; better recruitment\, retention\, and staff engagement. \nMore efficient and coordinated investigations with improved evidence integrity and data quality; timelier\, clearer communication among stakeholders; strengthened transparency and public trust; enhanced ability to translate multidisciplinary findings into defensible ME conclusions and prevention strategies.

Devices set below ~0.3 mm are often considered cosmetic and may be performed by estheticians in permissive states\, but deeper dermal-level microneedling is generally the practice of medicine restricted to licensed clinicians (NPs\, PAs\, RNs\, physicians) under delegation or medical direction. This creates a market-regulation mismatch: many providers offer “microneedling” under a cosmetic label but perform deeper treatments without the required credentials\, risking legal and safety issues. \nWhile dermaplaning is often marketed as a simple exfoliation\, it can cause microtrauma and\, if performed on sensitive skin or with improper technique\, may trigger inflammation\, infection\, or even trigger acne in predisposed patients. \nLearners will:\nDescribe the anatomy and physiology of the skin as it relates to dermaplaning and microneedling.\nIdentify appropriate patient candidates through consultation\, assessment\, and contraindication screening.\nExplain the mechanisms of collagen induction therapy and epidermal exfoliation.\nSelect appropriate devices\, cartridges\, needle depths based on patient presentation.\nDemonstrate proper infection prevention\, aseptic technique\, and procedural safety.\nPerform dermaplaning using proper blade selection\, angulation\, skin tension\, and stroke technique.\nPerform microneedling using appropriate treatment parameters while recognizing expected clinical endpoints.\nCompare the post-treatment erythema.\nDevelop individualized treatment plans and provide appropriate post-procedure instructions.\nSuccessfully demonstrate procedural competency through a faculty-observed hands-on skills assessment.

Regular training\, especially hands on and simulation training\, has been shown to improve skill by up to 25%\, but not all providers engage in such programs. \nThis program divides a full day into novice neurotoxin (first half of day) and advanced neurotoxin (second half of day). During the novice portion\, learners review patient anatomy and infection prevention protocols\, as well as outline patient consult and product preparation.  All FDA-approved products are reviewed with appropriate storage and reconstitution.  Technique and injection mapping for the frontalis\, glabellar complex\, and orbicularis oculi is also thoroughly outlined. Learners must demonstrate skills on practicum in order to advance to the advanced portion (second half of day). \nThe advanced neurotoxin expands the curriculum into neurotoxin mapping\, assessment\, preparation and technique to the following areas:\nMasseter\, Mentalis\, DAO\, Platysmal bands\, Lip flip\, Bunny lines\, Gummy smile\, Chin. Without regular updates on injection strategies\, facial anatomy\, and product-specific behavior\, competence can decline. Regular training\, especially hands on and simulation training\, has been shown to improve skill by up to 25%\, but not all providers engage in such programs. \nThis program divides a full day into novice neurotoxin (first half of day) and advanced neurotoxin (second half of day). During the novice portion\, learners review patient anatomy and infection prevention protocols\, as well as outline patient consult and product preparation.  All FDA-approved products are reviewed with appropriate storage and reconstitution.  Technique and injection mapping for the frontalis\, glabellar complex\, and orbicularis oculi is also thoroughly outlined. Learners must demonstrate skills on practicum in order to advance to the advanced portion (second half of day). \nThe advanced neurotoxin expands the curriculum into neurotoxin mapping\, assessment\, preparation and technique to the following areas:\nMasseter\, Mentalis\, DAO\, Platysmal bands\, Lip flip\, Bunny lines\, Gummy smile\, Chin.
